About the Sheldon Jackson Campus

In February 2011, twenty core buildings on the historic Sheldon Jackson Campus were gifted to Alaska Arts Southeast (widely known as Sitka Fine Arts Camp.) Neighboring buildings on the campus were sold to the Sitka Summer Music Festival, the Sitka Sound Science Center, and the Alaska State Museum.

As Campus Partners, these organizations, along with the Island Institute, are dedicated to building a campus that offers unique opportunities in Arts, Culture and Sciences to Sitkans and its visitors.

We are revitalizing a National Historic Landmark, and transforming a once boarded-up campus into a vibrant resource and destination.
